The biggest difference between “their Communists” and “our Communists” is theirs have come up through the school of hard knocks. To lose inside the Chinese Communist party is to forfeit your freedom, your family’s and possibly your life.
When the Chinesee say “comrade you know the penalty for failure” they mean it as a real threat, not as a joke. By contrast there are no consequences for failure for “our Communists”. They are shielded from reality by the press, the Judaeo Christian values they at once despise and rely on. Consequently they are psychologically fragile and untested in ways Moscow and Beijing’s are not.
Those hard men know the mettle of the Western pretend Commies and despise them. They even have a term of mockery for them: baizuo.
Baizuo (Chinese: 白左; pinyin: báizuǒ, Mandarin pronunciation: [pǎi.tswò], literally White Left) is a Chinese neologism and political epithet used to refer to Western leftist ideologies primarily espoused by white leftists … a sarcastic reference to those whose political opinions are perceived as being guided by emotions or a hypocritical show of selflessness and empathy
“I see you” — and they do.
Their Communists can be almost certain they can face down our Communists because they know their quality. ‘Plata o plomo?‘ as the narcos used to say. What do you think our Communists would choose? They’ve got the Western virtue class dialed in. And they’re laughing at them.
